Messy but so good! We drove just around two hours specifically for this ice cream/chocolate shop and it was 100% worth it. The portions are absolutely massive and drenched in chocolate. The only thing that is not the pest is the line. There was a line out the door for the entirety of our stay there. It took us around 20 to 30 minutes to actually order and get our ice cream and then we sat and ate it and we sat for about 20 maybe 30 minutes as well and there was never a moment where there wasn’t a line. I did feel a little bit bad for the staff as they were clearly underwater and there was also some repair work happening inside the shop so it just was a pad situation. But they handled it with amazing decorum and still served a very good product at the end of the day. We ended up also picking up some chocolates to bring back home to friends and while it wasn’t the best chocolate we’ve ever had it was still very good and we were happy we made the trip. So if you were in Florida and within a 2 Hour drive, I’d say it’s worth it to go to Hampton chocolate factory!

Fall desserts are officially in season at Hampton Chocolate Factory, and we had to try them all! Every treat was beautifully made and full of flavor. We started with the Date Caramel Apple — crisp red apples wrapped in Medjool dates, dipped in dark chocolate, and topped with flaky sea salt. It had the perfect mix of sweet and salty with an amazing crunch. Next was the Dubai Cookie Butter Strawberry Cup, featuring fresh strawberries covered in creamy milk chocolate and topped with golden, crunchy cookie butter Kataifi. Absolutely delicious and unlike anything we’ve tried before. Finally, the Apple Pie à la Mode stole the show. Warm apple pie with buttery brown sugar crumble, caramel drizzle, and creamy vanilla soft serve — it tasted like fall in every bite. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for the perfect fall dessert experience!

So what is all the hype about this place having The World’s Largest Ice Cream Cone? Nestled into the Tampa waterfront, sits a small but impactful storefront. I was excited to just see someone with the world’s largest ice cream cone coming in at about 5 lbs. As I walked up, it became evident people were here for some good ice cream and desserts. The line hung out the door for about 5-10 before I just walked in for pictures. Didn’t see anyone up front with a cone, but on my way out, did look over (no pic) to see a family going at The world’s largest cone. My recommendation is to go early, especially if the weather is nice and/or a holiday.

It was a great first experience for a Florida sweet treat. Everyone was super helpful and the place was so clean! The peanut butter dream was perfect and a large is more than enough for 2 people. Would definitely come back once in Tampa again.

Everything was great but the ice cream was a little bit overwhelming to much chocolate little bit of vanilla and pecan. The strawberry shortcake was amazing. Service is super nice ambience family oriented. Clean and well organized. But menú should imo a little bit more explicit.

Went to visit the chocolate factory for the first time every day after bowling. they had a wide variety to choose from. It was a little pricey, however I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the chocolate. It was actually fantastic. I ended up ordering one of the Dubai chocolate salted caramel dessert cup and oh my goodness I’m thinking about how delicious that chocolate was days later. Would love to come back again and try their ice cream. I’m from Long Island so I was surprised to see familiar towns for some of their chocolate packs. I’m gonna take my family here the next time they visit from Long Island

I got the (fudge brownie bliss) liege bellgian waffle sunday. It was a monstrosity of chocolatey goodness and too big for one person. Strangers were doing wellness checks as they walked past me because it was so large. Tasted amazing! The ambiance was fun, staff was so kind and helpful.

Their chocolate truffles and ice cream are absolutely delicious, and the sweet and salty ice cream combination is a standout. Service is fast, friendly, and attentive. We also appreciated having the option to sit inside while enjoying our treats. The quality and flavor make it well worth the price, and we highly recommend stopping by.
